Akta-Vite was first formulated by the Nicholas family company in 1943 at their Chadstone factory.
It was developed as a nutritive food supplement for the provision of vitamins and minerals for children, pregnant women, sick and elderly.

The Nicholas family at the time were also the owners and developers of Aspro, Nature’s Way, Kiwi Polish, White King, Radox and Staminade and were known for their philanthropy and interest in health and nutrition. Akta-Vite forms part of their legacy, remaining a delicious and nutritious drink loved by generations of Australians today.
